What is the nature of people?
Mainstream American culture is optimistic to that degree as it is assumed that any achievement is attainable if worked for, and that manhood is ultimately perfectible - as the millions of self-promote books and videos sold every year demonstrate (Schein, 1981).
Notwithstanding this assumption of perfectibility does not necessitate that the American is equally hopeful about his/her opposite facets in day-after-day connections. The reality that the negotiating team regularly includes legal body implies dread that the opposite party will rescind on an agreement if given a loophole.
Many Europeans expend a more pessimistic conceptualization towards human nature. They display a greater doubtfulness of experts, and assume that human conditions are more composite than do Americans. This is reflected in a predilection for more interwoven cognitive models of activity and thus more complicated constitution than are established in American establishments (Cooper and Cox, 1989).
Relationship to nature
What is the individual's relationship to nature?
Up until lately, United States culture has in general perceived the human as abstracted from nature, and eligible to exploit it. Such activities as excavation, blocking rivers for hydro-electric power, examining and planning to control weather condition patterns, genic engineering, all display a need for dominance.
Nonetheless recently, the populace has become more cognizant of needs to uphold the environment, and this is mirrored in corporate commerce policies and the evolution of 'reclaimable' and 'biodegradable' goodss.
More in general, representations of authority are reflected in a readiness to cope with the psychology of humans, and human relationships. An exemplar is provided by plan of action patterned to adjust an organizational culture.
In comparison, Arab culture looks to be highly fatalistic towards efforts to change or improve the world. Manhood can do petty on its own to achieve successfulness or avert catastrophe.
